1987 'E Reg' With 15,340 Miles. Finished In Black With Grey/Red Recaro Seats. The Ford Sierra had made it's name in motorsport around the world. Five hundred of the successful Sierra Cosworth cars had been put into storage by Ford in the UK, for later development to assure Ford a name in international motorsport. The 1987, these were sent to Aston Martin/Tickford for conversion to evolution specifications - and the RS500 was born. The engine is capable of developing 600bhp (900bhp has been achieved!). This example, one of the 500 made, was purchased new by the current owner and has 15,340 Miles. The Car Is A Standard Example And Has Not Been Modified.

Carry out full service, replaced cambelt with gates item, replaced Air filter, fuel filter and oil filter with genuine cosworth and Ford parts. Replaced spark plugs. Replaced exhaust system from the original stainless front pipe with an Italian OE copy of original, purchased from Graeme Goode Racing in UK, Note, perfect fit.
26th May 2021 @ 14,910 miles.
Replaced leaking fuel pump with correct bosch pump, Note old pump working but leaking fuel at main body crimp. Old pump kept. Replaced 4 tyres with Dunlop 205/50x15 Dunlop Direzza. Machined original front rotors and replaced pads, Note, rotors had only minor run out but original pads were falling apart but have been kept. Flushed brake fluid with Penrite DOT 4 mineral fluid.

Flushed cooling system and added rain water with Penrite Classic inhibitor, Note, no horrible anti freeze glycol rubbish added. All work carried out by Philip Hoffman, A grade automotive engineer.

Replaced thermostat and flushed cooling system, Penrite Classic inhibitor and rain water added. Note, thermostat housing and alloy spacer ring separated easily with no corrosion. Work carried out by Philip Hoffman, during road test the car rolled over 15,000 miles.
